-Debate resolution: The Renaissance was a distinct break with the Middle Ages
-Discuss Castiglione's The Courtier (gender roles/expectations during the Renaissance)

Homework: 1st Hour Fill out the period resolution sheet (The Renaissance is a distinct break with the Middle Ages) Take a position: Either argue for or against the above resolution. For evidence, use ANYTHING we've talked about in class thus far this year: education (scholasticism vs. Vergerius' humanism), politics (Aquinas), art, along with the 2 secondary sources you read earlier this week (Burckhardt and Burke) to support your position.
2nd: SAME AS
ALL AP STUDENTS: Students that are assigned a Renaissance Humanist for next block day need to begin writing their 1.5-2 page research paper in preparation for the Book-Signing activity.
