1) Read (and take notes on) Kagan (The Western Heritage since 1300) 82-86 ("The Northern Renaissance") and 96-100 (stop before "Martin Luther and the German Reformation")
2) Take at least 1.5 pages of outline notes as you read: pay attention for the main ideas of each paragraph, be sure to highlight any bolded key terms: remember- you are going for a summary of main ideas, not all the details.
